Our History

Continental Coatings, Inc. was established in 1978 and is located in Fontana CA, approximately 50 miles east of Los Angeles.

In 2014, Yung Chi Paint and Varnish Manufacturing Company, Ltd. of Kaohsiung Taiwan acquired 100% of Continental Coatings, Inc. Founded in 1951, Yung Chi Paint & Varnish is a global leader in industrial coating technology offering high-performance coatings with exceptional chemical, corrosion and temperature resistance.

Yung Chi, also known by their signature brand Rainbow, is a Pacific Rim leader in Architectural and Industrial Coatings. Yung Chi also owns and operates manufacturing facilities in China, Malaysia, and Vietnam and is a global market leader for Heavy Duty, Marine, Specialty Industrial, and Coil Coating products.

Continental is now rapidly growing their customer and business base throughout North America by cost effectively supplying premium high performance industrial paints and coatings.
